Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Turtly (“Turtly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a web application for tracking turtle and tortoise care. By creating an account or using Turtly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use Turtly

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Turtly. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and content you add to Turtly — your pet profiles, photos, logs, and records (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you add.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Turtly for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Upload malicious code, or scrape or copy the service in bulk without permission.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without our written consent.

5. Not veterinary advice

Turtly is a record-keeping and reminder tool. Any species defaults, care suggestions, or recommendations are provided for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a qualified exotic or reptile veterinarian for the health of your animals. You are solely responsible for decisions you make about your pets’ care.

6. Service availability and changes

We work to keep Turtly available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for any unavailability, data loss, or interruption, though we will make reasonable efforts to protect your data and notify you of significant changes.

7. Paid plans & billing

Turtly is free to start. We also offer a paid Pro plan, billed monthly or yearly; current pricing is shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Paid plans are processed by our payment provider (Stripe), and the price, billing interval, and any applicable taxes are presented to you before you confirm a purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future charges, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. You can switch from monthly to yearly at any time (we prorate — crediting the unused part of your current month); we don’t offer switching from yearly back to monthly, but you can cancel before renewal and resubscribe on the monthly plan.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using Turtly and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that could harm Turtly or other users. Upon termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Turtly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Turtly and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Turtly after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
